Products and Namespaces

ZARC is the Registry Operator for numerous namespaces. In order for Registrars to provision domain names in the ZARC namespaces, one or more Technical OT&Es have to be obtained.

Streamlined OT&E Environment & Namespace Access

ZARC provides a centralized SRS (Shared Registry System) environment for Operational Testing and Evaluation (OT&E). Registrars use this isolated platform to design systems and validate technical capabilities without impacting Live namespaces.

Upon successful OT&E completion, registrars receive authorization to provision domains across all four namespaces under harmonized SRS policies.

Key Benefits

  • Efficiency: Single OT&E environment reduces setup complexity.
  • Risk Mitigation: Zero impact on production namespaces during testing.
  • Unified Access: Technical OT&E approval grants rights to all Second Level Domains (SLDs).
  • Future-Proof: Policies are standardized across namespaces for seamless operations.

Accredited Namespace Access

Additional Information

Critical Requirements

  • Full Accreditation: Technical OT&E is one component; registrars must complete all accreditation steps.
  • Namespace-Specific Rules: SLDs share core policies, but unique requirements (e.g., data validation, pricing) per namespace apply post-accreditation.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ongoing adherence to SRS policies is mandatory for namespace access retention.

All namespaces are provisioned exclusively through the Shared Registry System (SRS). The namespaces are governed by a standard set of policies, which apply to critical domain name lifecycle phases.
