ZA Message – Status Mapping
The following section identifies the messages associated with certain statuses as well as solutions to get the domain into status “ok”.

| Domain Created, pending NS/FS check | serverHold | The domain has either not been charged for or the nameservers have failed | The charge will eventually trigger as funds become available. The domain name cannot be a CNAME. If the message persists, please perform a Domain Update to update namservers to responsive ones. |
| PendingGracePeriodSuspension: Domain grace period deletion in progress | pendingDelete inactive | The domain has been deleted during its grace period | The domain will delete at the end of 5 days. To reinstate the domain, perform a Cancel Pending Action command where the action is PendingGracePeriodSuspension |
| PendingSuspension: Domain has expired | pendingDelete | The domain has entered the Pending Suspension phase due to expiry | To reinstate the domain, perform a Renew command or a Cancel Pending Action command where the action is PendingSuspension |
| PendingDeletion: Domain has expired | inactive pendingDelete | The domain has entered the Pending Deletion phase due to expiry | To reinstate the domain, perform a Renew command or a Cancel Pending Action command where the action is PendingDeletion |
| PendingManualSuspension: Domain deletion in progress. | pendingDelete | The domain is currently in the Pending Suspension phase of its deletion due to a manual Delete request |
If the deletion was done correctly, the domain will enter the Pending Manual Deletion phase at the end of 5 days.
To reinstate the domain, perform a Renew command or a Cancel Pending Action command where the action is PendingSuspension |

| PendingClosedRedemption: Domain in closed redemption |
inactive pendingDelete serverHold serverTransferProhibited | The domain is currently in the Closed Redemption phase due to expiry. This means that it can be reinstated for a specific cost. |
The domain will delete at the end of the closed redemption period in 20 days.
To reinstate the domain, perform a Renew command or a Cancel Pending Action command where the action is PendingSuspension |
| Domain pending registrant update | pendingUpdate | The domain is currently pending a change in the registrant. |
The update will succeed at the end of the 5 day policy period.
To reinstate the domain, perform a Renew command or a Cancel Pending Action command where the action is PendingSuspension |
| Domain pending transfer | pendingTransfer | The domain is currently in the transfer process |
The transfer will be decied based on the table outlined in Section 9.3 of the published policies and procedures.
To cancel the transfer. the requesting registrar must issue a Transfer Cancel command. |
