People generally resist change and for no other reason than it’s better to stick to what they know, especially if what they know works, subscribing to the age old mantra of ‘if it’s not broken, don’t fix it’. However, sometimes change is inevitable because technologies change, either becoming more responsive, intuitive and customer-centric or conversely obsolete; because compliance with modern cybersecurity standards to protect personal data etc., have become mandatory rather than voluntary; and because digital transformation, founded on principles of automation and real time analytics, have become strategic business necessities. So, sentimentality aside, business reality and evolution, scalability, enhanced user experience and other benefits become the key determinants that guide transition from a legacy domain name management system to one premised on a shared registry domain name management platform.
The CO.ZA legacy system has stood the test of time, being in operation for the past 30 years, but for many of the reasons mentioned above, the time has come to decommission it with the assurance that your domain may be better managed through one of our accredited registrars and, you could even enjoy competitive domain name registration fees if all you want is to retain your valuable digital asset indefinitely.
So, if you are still managing your co.za domain name through the legacy system, it’s time to act! It would be remiss if we did not take this opportunity to thank each and every one of our co.za legacy clients for their loyalty to this platform and hope that we can continue this journey together, albeit on a different domain name management system.
